Illegal firecracker manufacturer nabbed in Bulacan

Camp General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A man was arrested while caught in the act of making firecrackers without the necessary permit during an operation conducted by Bocaue MPS at Sitio Bihunan, Brgy. Biñang 1st, Bocaue, Bulacan on November 18, 2022 at about 5:30 in the afternoon.

Bulacan police identified the arrested suspect as Renato Siongco Jr @Reden, 45 years old, painter from Biñang 1st, Bocaue.

Recovered pieces of evidences were 145 cubes of pla-pla; 37 pcs kabasi; 27pcs kwiton; 19 pcs dugong; 2 pcs 1k rounds sawa; 200 pcs no stick big kwitis; 1 orocan assorted paraphernalia; 40 pcs cubes of pla-pla (loaded); 29 pcs coned whistle; 124 pcs mini kwiton; 10 bundle kwitis; 102 pcs no stick kwitis; and 1 sack assorted finished/unfinished firecrackers with a total estimated market value of more or less  fifty thousand pesos (Php 50, 000.00).

Criminal complaints for Violation of RA 7183 (An Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distribution and Use of Firecrackers and Other Pyrotechnic Devices) against the arrested suspect is now being readied for filing in court.

Bulacan police is no let-up in implementing its zealous drive against illegal manufacturers of pyrotechnics and firecrackers as directed by the PRO3.
