DPWH, PA plant trees in Tarlac

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Tarlac 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO), together with the Armor Division of the Philippine Army, planted a total of 100 fruit-bearing trees in a military camp located in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Capas, Tarlac.

District Engineer Edward Ricardo G. Ramos, Assistant District Engineer Adeltrudes V. Catanes, all Section Chiefs, and selected employees received a warm welcome from the officials and cadets of the Armor Division.

“Our Office and the Armor Division have already worked in the past and we implemented several projects in its camp under the Department of National Defense (DND)-DPWH Convergence Program,” Ramos said.

He added that through this activity, their partnership as government agencies would become even stronger and more harmonious.

The seedlings planted by DPWH employees and army personnel include kaimito, santol, rambutan, mango, and chico.
