The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has donated 10 cubic meters of logs to the Department of Education (DepEd) Bataan Eastern District to support the construction, repair, and improvement of public school facilities.
The turnover, facilitated by the DENR Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Dinalupihan, was formalized through the signing of a Deed of Donation, marking the continuing partnership between DENR and DepEd in maximizing government resources to benefit public education and community development.
According to CENRO Dinalupihan Chief Marivic Santos, the donated logs were sourced from lawful tree-cutting activities within the office’s jurisdiction and were deemed suitable for public use.
βThe materials will be utilized by DepEd for the construction, repair, and improvement of school facilities, including ceilings, tables, and other essential fixtures that will help provide a safer and more conducive learning environment for students,β Santos said.
DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo said the donation reflects the agency’s commitment to responsible resource management while supporting the government’s education initiatives.
“This donation is not only about providing materials; it is about investing in the future of our youth. By working hand in hand with DepEd, we ensure that resources are put to good use, strengthening schools and communities,” Pablo ended.
