CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga β Eight Focus Crimes across Central Luzon dropped by about 14.6 percent during the first 10 days of October, as PRO3 sustained police visibility, focused operations, firearms accounting, and emergency response across the region.
PRO3 data showed 70 Eight Focus Crime incidents from October 1 to 10, 2026, down from 82 cases recorded from September 21 to 30, or 12 fewer incidents over the comparable 10-day period.
The decline comes as PRO3 continues to strengthen preventive policing through the JBM Patrol System, which reinforces police visibility and strategic deployment in areas requiring closer attention. This is complemented by focused operations against wanted persons, illegal drugs, loose firearms, and other peace and order concerns.
PRO3 has likewise intensified ADFER, or the Accounting and Disposition of Firearms with Expired Registration. From October 1 to 10 alone, a total of 913 firearms were accounted for, helping reduce the risk of firearms being lost, illegally transferred, or potentially used in criminal activity.
PRO3 Director PBGEN Jess B. Mendez said the figures show the value of sustained and coordinated crime prevention efforts.
βPreventing crime requires more than one approach. Visible policing, intelligence work, focused operations, firearms accounting, and timely response have to work together. The decrease is encouraging, but the more important task is to sustain the effort and remain responsive to what is happening on the ground,β RD Mendez said.
Unified 911 further supports these measures by providing the public with a faster and more coordinated way to reach police and other emergency services. Together with the JBM Patrol System, focused operations, and ADFER, it strengthens both prevention and response.
These initiatives are aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda of Chief, PNP PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly on crime prevention, strengthened law enforcement, risk management, and responsive police service.
PRO3 will continue to monitor crime trends and adjust police deployment and operations based on actual conditions on the ground, while sustaining efforts to keep communities safer and police services more visible and responsive across Central Luzon.
