₱455.4M WORTH OF SHABU SEIZED IN BULACAN, CAVITE BUY-BUSTS

Over P455 million worth of suspected shabu were seized by operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agencies in a series of anti-illegal drug operation conducted in Bulacan and Cavite. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
A total of 66 kilograms of suspected shabu worth ₱455.4 million, was confiscated by PDEA and other drug law enforcement agencies during a series of buy-bust operations in Bulacan and Cavite on Wednesday.
 
The last anti-illegal drug entrapment was occurred in Marilao, Bulacan around 10:00am along KM30 which is the result of follow-up operation in the earlier buy bust operation in Cavite where confiscated shabu in all the operations were identically concealed in packaging labeled as Guwanyinwang, a brand of Chinese tea— a modus observed during the last several years for concealing shabu smuggled into the country.
 
PDEA Deputy Director General for Operations Assistant Secretary Gregorio Pimentel further elaborated to reporters that these operations are part of PDEA’s Case Operation Plan ‘WHISPERER’ which had already resulted to the seizure of several hundred kilograms of shabu and the arrest of several high value targets.
 
All arrested suspects in this series of operations will be charged for violations of Sections 5 & 11 of Art. II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
