Sen Imee, Gov. Fernando distribute noche buena packs to 1,000 dumagats

Senator Imee Marcos and Governor Daniel Fernando spearhead the distribution of Noche Buena packs to 1,000 Dumagat families through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office held at the Mama Piat Spirituality Center, Sitio Kutad, Barangay Pulong Sampaloc in DRT town. At least one thousand families indigenous people from Dumagat tribe in the mountainous village of Pulong Sampaloc, of Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan received an early Noche Buena packs through the Bulacan Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office followed by the distribution of DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) payout on Saturday, December 11, 2022. 
 
PSWDO head Rowena Tiongson said Governor Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Alex Castro led the distribution with Senator Imee Marcos, who is a part of the initiative of the said Christmas gift giving to 1,000 Dumagats  and cash assistance to 3,600 Bulakenyos.
 
Marcos with Fernando and DRT Mayor Ronaldo T. Flores spearheaded the distribution where a total of 1,000 Dumagats received noche buena pack contained of ham, greceries, and assorted vegetables held at the Mama Piat Spirituality Center, Sitio Kutad, Barangay Pulong Sampaloc in DRT town.
 
After in DRT, the team proceeded to Star Arena in Baliuag town as they were accompanied by Mayor Ferdie Estrella wherein 1,000 AICS beneficiaries received P3,000 each of cash assistance followed by the same activity in Bulacan Capitol Gym in the City of Malolos where, 1,600 individuals received P2,500 each of cash aid.
 
Late afternoon, the AICS payout was held at the District Office of Cong. Linabelle Villarica in Saluysoy, Meycauayan City where 1,000 beneficiaries also got P3,000 each of said cash assistance. 
 
Fernando and Castro  thanked Sen. Marcos and the DSWD for allotting cash assistance for indigent Bulakenyos.
 
The AICS program is a social safety net or a stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families from unexpected crisis such as illness or death of a family member, and other crisis situations.
