MALOLOS CITY — Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan 2nd District Engineer George DC. Santos and Assistant District Engineer Gene S. Leaño on Friday assessed the progress of the ongoing construction of a one-storey dialysis center in the Municipality of Sta Maria.

During the inspection, Santos saw the pace of construction of the health facility where he expressed his satisfaction with its development.

“I am pleased with the progress of the project which is now 89% complete. But we are aware of the importance of this facility to dialysis patients living in Sta. Maria and nearby areas in the 6th district of Bulacan hence, the assigned project engineer has been instructed to speed up the construction process,” Santos said.

The P19 million health facility has a total floor area of 788.2 square meters and when completed, it can accommodate up to 34 patients.

“Once the dialysis center opens, patients no longer need to travel to other municipalities for their treatment thus providing convenience to them as well as their companions,” Santos added.

Santos and Leaño were joined in the project inspection by, OIC-Construction Engineer Ace M. Caper, Planning and Design Engineer Michael L. Principe, Project Engineer Teresita Faustino, Engr. Carl Jonathan Del Rosario and the project contractor.

Construction of the project began in March 2022 and is funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act.
