FORMER REBEL SURRENDERS IN BULACAN

CAMP General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — a former member of a Communist Communist-Terrorist Group (CTG) voluntarily surrendered to Bulacan PNP on October 14, 2022. 

PCol. Relly Arnedo, Officer-In-Charge, Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BUL PPO) stated that a certain alias Ka Ernie/ Biyog, 50, a fishporter and former member of the Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB), voluntarily surrendered to the government authorities last Friday in Malolos City, Bulacan.

PLTCol Ismael Gauna, Force Commander, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), reported that a team led by 2nd Platoon 1st PMFC, along with Bulacan PIU, Bulacan PECU, 2nd PMFC, 301st MC RMFB, 24th SAC, 2SAB PNP SAF, and 70IB PA, assisted the subject in turning himself in on Friday at around 8:30 PM.

One (1) unlicensed Cal. 45 pistol without a serial number, six (6) pieces of Cal. 45 live ammo, and one (1) MK2 hand grenade, were turned over by Alias Ka Ernie.

The surrendered former CTG member is currently in the custody of the 1st PMFC for investigation and custodial debriefing. The hand grenade, meanwhile, was officially handed over to Bulacan PECU for custody and disposition.
