NLEX Corporation launches first Transport Con

NLEX Transport Con hosts officers and owners from the country’s biggest transport organizations.
 
 
NLEX Corporation, builder and operator of NLEX-SCTEX and the soon-to-open NLEX 
Connector, has launched the first Transport Con aimed at creating further value for transport 
stakeholders through a day of insightful talks with industry leaders.
 
Guided by the theme, “Road to a More Sustainable Economic Development,” the flagship event,
which was recently held in Sheraton Manila Hotel gathered 150 key stakeholders from transport
groups and corporate partners.

enhance road safety  while  ensuring sustainability.   Being a  champion  of  progress  and   social

Transport Con,” said NLEX President and General Manager J. Luigi L. Bautista.

 
 
The conference was graced with field luminaries who covered salient topics such as industry
challenges, consumer insights, sustainable mobility, economic recovery, and building transport
 communities. 

 
Department of Public Works and  Highways   (DPWH) Undersecretary  Maria   Catalina   Cabral
discussed linking opportunities for accessibility and supply chain access; Department of Energy
(DOE) Director  Rino Abad spoke on the topic of addressing the challenges  for oil and gas
consumption; Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) President George Barcelon
enlightened participants on bringing the transport sector aboard to a future-proof economy.

transport industry as a model of future-forward partnership. 

 
Fortifying   NLEX’s   reputation   as   an  advocate  of   progress,  corporate   sustainability,   and   road
safety,   the  Transport   Con  also   hosted  officers  and   owners  from   country’s  biggest   transport
organizations including the Confederation of Truckers Association of the Philippines (CTAP),
Nagkakaisang Samahan ng Nangangasiwa ng Panlalawigang Bus sa Pilipinas Inc. (NSNPBPI),
Inland Haulers and Truckers Association (INHTA),  Alliance of Concerned Truck Owners and
 Organizations   (ACTOO),    and   Haulers   and   Truckers   Association   in   the   Watersouth,   Inc. (HATAW).
