Lazatin to provide free uniforms, school supplies to students in public schools

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin to give free uniforms, school supplies and shoes for public school students in Angeles City.

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. announced in his inaugural speech that public school students will receive free uniforms, school supplies, and even shoes.

According to Lazatin, this is part of his eight-point agenda, proving opportunities abound for all.

“Poverty must never be an excuse for not giving our children a chance for a brighter future,” Lazatin claimed.

To recall, Lazatin already said that this initiative of the city government to provide free uniforms, school supplies, and shoes will be given to enrolled day care students in August, when face-to-face classes resume in the centers.

Aside from this, Lazatin also shared that his leadership will continue to coordinate with his brother, First District Cong. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin, to build more classrooms and facilities to make learning conducive to our children.

Lazatin will also tap the help of telecommunications providers to install dedicated internet lines in all public schools.

The City College of Angeles, on the other hand, will be preparing for a blended methodology – face-to-face and online – to accommodate more students.

“We also expect to complete the third storey of the CCA within the next few months,” Lazatin said.
