NEW CLARK CITY (PIA) — The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) have partnered to develop a training center for the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) in New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac.
Supporting President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s agenda of strengthening science and technology, investing in Filipino talent, and advancing innovation-driven development, the initiative aims to provide Filipino students and future scientists with an environment where science, research, technology, and innovation can thrive.
In a statement, BCDA said that the training center is part of the vision to transform New Clark City as a place for talents and institutions to collaborate for the development of the country’s knowledge economy, with the facility under its Research and Development District.
Under the agreement, BCDA will undertake the fit-out works for the training center and support essential campus infrastructure and utilities.
The training facility is expected to be partially operational by 2027.
