BULACAN PPO NAMED PRO3 CDM CHAMPION

PBGen Mathew Baccay, PRO3 regional director

CAMP General Alejo S Santos — The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BulPPO) won the 2022 Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) competition, which was held at the PRO3 Grandstand, Camp Captain Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on June 21, 2022.

Other winners include the Bataan Police Provincial Office (PPO), which came in the first runner-up, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, which came in the second runner-up.

The CDM Competition’s purpose is to put police officers’ abilities, operations, and equipment preparedness to the test, as well as to increase their capacity to manage mass action and public disturbances with the greatest tolerance.

The ceremony was graced by PBGEn Mathew Baccay, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) regional director and the nine (9) Police Provincial Offices (PPOs) of Angeles, Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Olongapo, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, as well as the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB-3).

Each team went through three stages or phases of the competition: graded inspection, eight (8) fundamental formation displays, and a problem-based scenario. In the scenario, there are real assailants who might attack them or protest when there is civil unrest.

The competition will be a proactive step for any mass movement concerned with the protection of human rights in the performance of police responsibilities. It will ensure the efficacy and efficiency of all CDM units, particularly in terms of the growth of individual competence and the upgrading of equipment.
