Army consults San Jose residents on  Persona Non-Grata declaration

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — Residents of San Jose expressed their  appreciation to the military for strengthening their resolve in condemning the NPAs’ presence in their community.

In a bid to spread the awareness campaign on the Resolution passed by the Sangguniang Bayan of San Jose, Tarlac declaring the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) as Persona Non-Grata, the troops from the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion along with personnel from 7th Civil-Military Operations, conducted a community consultation in Brgy. Villa Aglipay, San Jose, Tarlac on February 25, 2022.

Also, the activity aims to inform the community on the implication of the Persona Non-Grata declaration against the CTG and on how the community can support the campaign of the government to end the local communist armed conflict in their municipality.

Local officials of Brgy. Villa Aglipay, on the other hand, expressed their full cooperation and support to the LGU along with the security sector in case there are sightings of CTGs in the area.

Before the community consultation, the Army troops coordinated the activity with Brgy. Villa Aglipay, Chairman, Hon. Amado F. Lasco.

Meanwhile, in Brgy. Caocaoayan, Mayantoc, Tarlac, Brgy. Councilmember, Hon. Evelyn Torres expressed her support to the programs under Executive Order No. 70 through the MTF-ELCAC.

“Kami at and buong barangay ay sumusuporta sa mga programa ng gobyerno upang wakasan ang karahasan na naidudulot ng mga teroristang CPP-NPA-NDF para manatili ang katahimikan ng aming barangay,” Torres said.
