CITY OF MALOLOS — The Bulacan Dreamers Softball Team made international sports history, capturing the Asia-Pacific Region’s first bronze medal at the 2026 Senior League Softball World Series in Delaware, USA on August 9 (Philippine time).
The Filipina squad capped their run with a 5–1 victory over Europe-Africa in the bronze-medal game, sparking pride across the province and the nation.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando praised the team’s historic feat, emphasizing that their victory reflects the unwavering determination, discipline, and hard work of Bulakenyo youth.
“Buong husay ninyong itinanghal ang Lalawigan ng Bulacan sa pandaigdigang entablado. Pinatunayan ninyo na may puwang ang mga atletang Bulakenyo sa mundo ng palakasan at kaya nating makipagsabayan sa pinakamahuhusay na atleta mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo. Ipinagmamalaki namin ang inyong kahusayan at taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa karangalang hatid ninyo sa ating lalawigan,” Fernando said.
The Bulacan Dreamers built their podium run on relentless momentum in Pool A, sweeping past Latin America (8–3), the East Region (10–0), and Southwest (18–1).
Despite a late group-stage loss to Delaware D3, Bulacan bounced back in the knockouts with a 10–0 shutout against Canada. They fell short of the final in a tight 1–0 semifinal heartbreak against Central Region, the eventual champions, before rebounding to seal third place globally against Europe-Africa.
With World Series bronze in hand and the Philippine flag raised in Delaware, the Dreamers returns home as champions and symbols of determination, discipline, and excellence.
