Suspect in P10M robbery in Bulacan arrested

Camp Capt. Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga —Authorities swiftly arrested one of the suspects involved in a P10-million robbery-holdup incident in Brgy. Balite, Calumpit, Bulacan within 24 hours after the crime was reported.

Initial reports revealed that at around 7:20 PM on March 21, 2026, unidentified armed suspects forcibly entered a residence at La Residencia Subdivision and declared a holdup.

 In response, personnel of the Calumpit Municipal Police Station immediately launched a hot pursuit operation in coordination with Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Intel Cluster 4 under the supervision of Bulacan Provincial Director PCOL Angel A. Garcillano, with guidance from Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) leadership.

Through extensive CCTV backtracking and forward tracking, investigators were able to identify the getaway vehicle used in the crime. 

Subsequent coordination with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) enabled authorities to trace the vehicle, which led to the identification and arrest of one of the suspects on March 22, 2026.

The suspect was positively identified by the victim and witnesses as one of the four individuals who carried out the robbery and is now under police custody for proper disposition.

A criminal complaint for Robbery in Band under Article 296 of the Revised Penal Code is being prepared for filing before the City Prosecutor’s Office in Malolos, Bulacan, while follow-up operations are ongoing for the arrest of the remaining suspects.

This accomplishment underscores PRO3’s commitment to the PNP Focused Agenda of the Chief PNP, PGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr  particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, through swift response, effective investigation, and intensified manhunt operations against criminal elements.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units for their prompt and coordinated response.

“This accomplishment highlights our intensified efforts in crime response and investigation. Within 24 hours, we were able to arrest one of the suspects, demonstrating our commitment to fast and effective police service. We will continue our operations until all those involved are brought to justice,” Mendez said.
