ANGELES CITY LASS CROWNED AS MUPH PAMPANGA; CONG POGI EXPRESSES FULL SUPPORT

FIRST DISTRICT, Pampanga – Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has expressed his full support for Allyson Hetland of Barangay Pandan, Angeles City, who has been crowned as Miss Universe Philippines – Pampanga 2026 on January 22, 2026.

Hetland, who previously won as Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2025, will be representing the Province of Pampanga in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Pageant.

Before winning in the Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2025, Hetland was crowned as Mutya Ning Angeles 2024 – the last Mutya Ning Angeles crowned by Lazatin before he stepped down as Angeles City Mayor on June 30, 2024.

“Since Day One of Allyson’s win as Mutya ning Angeles, my team and I have been all-out in our support for her journey,” Lazatin said.

It can be recalled that Lazatin awarded Hetland with P100,000 cash incentive – from his own pocket – following her win in the Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2025.

Lazatin also gave Hetland personal cash assistance before she competed in the Mutya Ning Kapampangan.

Lazatin served as Angeles City Mayor from 2019 to 2024. Hetland’s win is the first time in six years that the Mutya Ning Kapampangan crown was won by Angeles City.

Hetland was announced as Pampanga’s official candidate in the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Pageant in a Grand Reveal and Coronation Event attended by Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel.

Joining Manuel during the event are Political Affairs Officer III Mina Cabiles and Political Affairs Officer II Irish Llego.
