Universities in the Philippines need government recognition, specifically from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to ensure quality and legitimacy of their programs.
This recognition assures the public that the university meets national standards and is authorized to offer higher education.
CHED’s recognition signifies that the university’s programs adhere to established standards of quality, including curriculum, faculty qualifications, and resources.
Recognized universities are often eligible for government funding, scholarships, and other forms of support.
