Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- In a series of intensified anti-drug operations across Central Luzon, police operatives arrested multiple high-value individuals (HVI) and seized more than P2.2 million worth of illegal drugs on Friday and Saturday.
Among those arrested were identified only as alias “Jun,” a 43-year-old HVI from Barangay Anunas, Angeles City.
He was apprehended on Friday evening during a buy-bust operation by the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) and Police Station 6.
Authorities confiscated 55 grams of suspected shabu worth P374,000.00 at Riverside Interior, Barangay Ninoy Aquino, Angeles City.
In another operation on Saturday morning, joint operatives from ACDEU and the Intelligence/Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of Police Station 6 arrested alias “Lolet,” a 61-year-old HVI from Barangay Pulung Cacutud, Angeles City.
The buy-bust led to the seizure of 53 grams of shabu valued at P360,400.00, along with pre-marked buy-bust money and an OJO eyewear pouch.
Meanwhile, in Bocaue, Bulacan on same day, Bocaue Municipal Police Station operatives arrested two HVIs identified as “Jon2x,” 36, and “Hapon,” 30, both from Barangay Batia.
They were caught violating Sections 5, 11, and 26 of Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to the Omnibus Election Code (Gun Ban).
The operation resulted in the confiscation of 131.17 grams of suspected shabu worth Php 891,956.00 and a caliber .38 revolver with five live rounds.
In Meycauayan City, Bulacan, operatives of the Meycauayan City Police Station arrested two drug personalities: alias “Mai,” 47, a businesswoman from Barangay Malhacan, and HVI alias “Carl,” 33, from Caloocan City.
They were caught transacting illegal drugs inside a gray Mitsubishi Mirage G4, leading to the seizure of 45 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of Php 603,000.00.
PRO3 Director PBGen Jean S. Fajardo commended the dedication of Central Luzon police operatives in their relentless pursuit against illegal drugs.
“Our operatives are working 24/7 to hunt down drug traffickers and ensure that our communities remain safe. These operations demonstrate our firm resolve to dismantle drug networks and bring perpetrators to justice,”PBGEN Fajardo said.
The arrested suspects will face appropriate charges as authorities continue to intensify anti-drug operations across the region.
