
Camp Olivas, Pampanga – In a series of intensified anti-drug operations, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) successfully seized over P780,000 worth of illegal drugs and multiple firearms, leading to the arrest of several suspects, including two high-value individuals (HVIs), in separate operations in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan.
Reports reaching the Office of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) regional director BGen Jean Fajardo, it was learned that o the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Cabanatuan City Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation along Maharlika Highway, Brgy. Sumacab Este, Cabanatuan City on Saturday morning (Feb 22).
The operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Omba,” 34, identified as a high-value individual, and alias “Sheena,” 20, both residents of Brgy. 188, City of Caloocan, NCR.
Authorities confiscated 75 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 510,000.00.
On Friday afternoon, the Norzagaray Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit launched another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Tigbe, Norzagaray, Bulacan.
Arrested during the sting were alias “Bulag,” 43; alias “Anno,” 29; alias “Roger,” 40; and alias “Nold,” 47, all residents of Norzagaray, Bulacan.
Seized from the operation were 40.13 grams of suspected shabu worth P272,884, along with a caliber .38 revolver and an improvised shotgun (sumpak).
“These operations are a testament to our unwavering determination to disrupt the illegal drug trade and remove dangerous weapons from our streets. The arrest of these individuals, particularly the two high-value individuals, underscores our commitment to ensuring a safer Central Luzon. PRO3 remains relentless in its mission to curb illegal drugs and criminality, and we will continue to strike hard against those who threaten the peace and security of our communities,” said Fajardo.
The Central Luzon top cop also encouraged the public to play an active role in the anti-drug campaign by reporting any suspicious activities to authorities. Anonymous tips can be sent through hotline numbers or by visiting the nearest police station.
