Political powerhouses in Bulacan go all out for Leni

POLITICAL powerhouses in the vote-rich province of Bulacan joined forces in endorsing the bid of Vice President Leni Robredo’s candidacy for President on Monday, March 14.

At the historic Barasoain Church in Malolos City, Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando, along with several local officials of the province under his wing, announced their support for Robredo.

At a press conference, Fernando said he believes in the candidate’s capability to steer the country towards honest and clean governance.

Among the 10 candidates for President, Fernandez also explained why it’s a woman who stands out the most.

“Siyam ang kalalakihan subalit namumukod tangi ang isang babae, isang balo kumbaga, solo parent, na bago pa man pumasok sa politika ay naging tagapagtanggol na po ng mga maralita at walang tinig sa lipunan,” he said.

Robredo thanked Fernando and the local officials who supported her presidential bid, despite running under different political parties.

A week before the endorsement of Bulacan officials, over 45,000 Bulakenyos gathered in a people’s rally to show their support for Robredo, making it the third biggest campaign rallies of the Tropang Leni-Kiko next to Bacolod and Iloilo.
