CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — A total of 7,290 Nanay Community Workers (NCWs) in Pampanga each received 25 kilograms of rice under the Bawat Bayan Makikinabang Program.
This reaffirms President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s commitment to supporting community volunteers who play a vital role in delivering basic health and social services.
Governor Lilia Pineda expressed her gratitude to the Chief Executive for the continued support extended to Pampanga’s community workers.
“We thank President BBM for the rice assistance. We will also be giving another assistance that also came from Malacañang,” she told the recipients.
Aside from the rice aid, each beneficiary also got ₱3,000 in financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The distribution highlights the continuing collaboration between the national and local government in recognizing the invaluable contribution of NCWs, ensuring they receive support as they continue serving their communities.
