PA’s 91IB seizes hot lumbers in Aurora  

224 board feet of illegally-cut lumbers were seized by the Philippine Army’s 91st Infantry Batallion together with Aurora Police Provincial Office and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-CENRO) at Sitio Anggo, Barangay Toytoyan, Dipaculao on April 08, 2022. 

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — The Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army Major General Andrew D Costelo PA said that the troops of the 91st Infantry (SINAGTALA) Battalion, Philippine Army intensifies its law enforcement support operations as they confiscated some 224 board feet of illegally-cut lumbers together with Aurora Police Provincial Office and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-CENRO) at Sitio Anggo, Barangay Toytoyan, Dipaculao on April 08, 2022. 

According to MGen Costelo, one squad of CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) of the 91IB led by Technical Sergeant Cesar V. Baltazar, Patrol Base Commander of Dimabuno Patrol Base together with one team of CENRO Casiguran from Sub-Office Amper Dipaculao headed by Geoffrey Librero-officer-in-charge, conducted joint anti-illegal logging campaign and discovered abandoned of three pieces Mayapis and seven pieces of Katmon illegal cut good lumbers.

Meanwhile, LTC Julito B Recto Jr, Commanding Officer of 91IB, commended the team effort for its support in the government’s campaign to curb illegal forest activities in the province. 

“All the seized forest products are deposited in the DENR-CENRO office for proper disposition. Rest assured that the 91IB and other concerned agencies will continue to intensify forest protection efforts despite the pandemic,” LTC Recto said.
