Nueva Ecija residents receive food packs from troops, local officials

801 households in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija receive food packs from local officials and Philippine Army.
FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – Troops from the 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army together with local officials led the repacking and distribution of food packs to 801 households at Barangay Bugnan, Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija on Monday, October 3, 2022.
 
The troops provided manpower assistance during the repacking of food packs led by Corporal Francis P. Cauilan in cooperation with barangay officials led by Brgy. Captain Cecilio H. Nunag, Jr. of Brgy. Bugnan.   After which, the troops distributed the said food aid at the covered court of the said barangay.   
 
The Relief operation is part of the 91st IB’s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations in areas affected by Super Typhoon “Karding” in the unit’s Area of Responsibility.
 
In his message, Lieutenant Colonel Julito B. Recto, Jr., Commander of 91st IB said that the unit will continue the mandate of helping typhoon victims in coordination with concerned agencies because the effort will bring hope to the populace. Lt. Col. Recto Jr. assured the prompt and efficient deployment of the military assets in helping the government’s humanitarian and disaster response efforts.
 
Meanwhile, Major General Andrew D Costelo, Commander of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division lauded the collective efforts of the 91st IB and the local officials in extending the government services in addressing the needs of the affected families of the Super Typhoon “Karding”.
