NPA REBEL SURRENDER IN BULACAN

CAMP General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) member voluntarily surrendered to the Bulacan PNP in the City of Malolos, Bulacan on April 5, 2023. 

 

Based on the report to Col. Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director, Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BUL PPO) identified the surrenderer as alias Ka Sam, 45 years old, a tricycle driver, a member of the New People’s Army (NPA), and operating in the area of Malolos, Bulacan. He was convinced to join the aforementioned rebel group in order to lessen his school tuition fees while he was still a high school student.

 

PLtCol Reyson Bagain, Force Commander, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) said that on April 5, 2023, at about 10:30 a.m. in Camp Alejo S Santos, Brgy. Guinhawa, Malolos, Bulacan, joint elements of the 1st PMFC, Bulacan PIU, 2nd PMFC, 301st MC RMFB, 24th SAC, 2SAB PNP SAF, and 70IB PA facilitated the surrender of the subject.

 

Alias Ka Sam turned over one (1) unlicensed firearm described as one (1) cal..38 revolver without a serial number and five (5) pieces cal .38 live ammunition.

 

The surrendered CTG member is presently under the custody of the 1st PMFC for investigation and custodial debriefing.

 

Bulacan Police is stern on its intensified campaign against insurgency and terrorism to ensure the provision of social services, employment opportunities, and improved quality of life in communities that have been experiencing or are vulnerable to armed communist conflict.
