NLEX Corporation is raising the elevation of a 640-meter portion of SCTEX Dinalupihan to enhance safety, accessibility, and mobility of motorists especially during the rainy season.
Set to be completed in the early third quarter of 2022, the engineering works will reduce the vulnerability of the road to flooding, which in turn will ensure safe passage of motorists during inclement weather conditions.
Improvement works such as construction of new pavement on top of the existing one, and addition of new culverts or drainage structures are being undertaken as part of this project.
“We continue to improve our infrastructure assets to boost their serviceability and enable them to be resilient so they can withstand future climate risks,” said NLEX Corporation President and General Manager J. Luigi L. Bautista.
Clearing of the area, removal of guardrails and other preliminary works have commenced. Minimal lane closures are being implemented for the duration of the construction, but motorists are assured that traffic management and safety measures are in place to ensure motorists’ safety and minimize travel delays. Road signs and other warning devices have been installed to guide motorists.
For more information on the closures and advisories, motorists may send a message to NLEX Corporation’s social media accounts or call the hotline 1-35000.
Aside from this project, NLEX Corporation is upgrading the northbound portion of the Candaba Viaduct and repairing the Pasig-Potrero Bridge in Porac, Pampanga to provide safer and more efficient travel to motorists. It has recently completed the link slab replacement of the southbound segment of the San Matias Bridge located between San Fernando and San Simon interchanges in Pampanga.
