Dubbed as one of the Philippines’ largest toys and hobbies events, MALCON once again gathered toy enthusiasts, entertainment and gaming aficionados, cosplayers, collectors, and hobbyists from all over the country. The event showcased over 5,000 toys from various anime and Japanese shows, movies, games, and art pieces. Shown in the photo are kids in front of a life-size 7-foot Batman-inspired masterpiece by renowned Steampunk artist and metalsmith Ram Mallari. The best of Bulacan, including scratch toy builder Kris Morato, also graced the event alongside other Bulacan-based toy enthusiasts with collections of “Demon Slayer,” Marvel, and DC franchises, “Power Rangers,” “Kamen Rider,” “Transformers,” “Attack on Titan,” among others. To amaze the audience, a one-day cosplay competition was likewise held organized by event partner Anime Cosplay Empire (A.C.E.). As per the team behind MALCON, the event has been winning the hearts of many since 2018, with audience increasing year-by-year from 6,000 to over 15,000 in attendance.
