Lazatin to double up ‘Kambal Festival’ cash prizes next year

Next year’s Kambal Festival is expected to be merrier as Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has vowed to double up the cash prizes for the winning participants.
Elated by the festivities brought about by the Kambal Festival 2023, where 18 participants competed at the Angeles Heritage District on Saturday evening, Mayor Lazatin said he will up the ante by doubling up the cash prizes.
The increase in cash prizes is expected to entice all the city’s 33 barangays to participate in the 2024 Kambal Festival, the 4th iteration of the competition where participants vie for the Best Float, Identical Twins—Category A, Identical Twins—Category B, Most Festive Float, Street Dancing Competition—High School, and Street Dancing Competition—Elementary. There are also consolation prizes and early brid prizes.
