Lazatin brothers groundbreak classroom buildings in 3 public schools

ANGELES CITY—Three public schools here will have additional school buildings as the Lazatin brothers— Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. and Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II — personally led the groundbreaking ceremonies on August 3, 2023.

Among the schools visited by the Lazatin brothers are EPZA Resettlement Elementary School with P15 million budget; Mining Elementary School (P15 million); and Angeles City National High School (P51 million).

A two-storey classroom building will each be constructed in the said elementary schools, while Angeles City National High School will benefit with a four-story structure, all funded using the DepEd Basic Education Facilities Fund, thru Cong. Lazatin’s initiative.

“Our administration will stay true to its purpose to champion education and make learning conducive to Angeleño students,” Mayor Lazatin said.

The Lazatin brothers were joined by Vice Mayor Ma. Vicenta ‘Vicky” Vega-Cabigting and Department of Education (DepEd) Angeles City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ronaldo Pozon, and Cong. Lazatin’s Chief-of-Staff Janie Sarmiento during the groundbreaking ceremony.

Pozon expressed his gratitude to the Lazatin brothers for their unceasing support to the education sector of Angeles City.

Part of the flagship program of the Lazatin brothers is uplifting quality education, just like their late father, Cong. Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin.

Further, Mayor Lazatin vowed that his administration will continue to coordinate with his lawmaker brother, for the continuous improvement of education in Angeles City.
