‘Kapebaluan’ to offer seasonal hot drinks for rainy days

ANGELES CITY — The city-run Kapebaluan Café is set to serve three new seasonal hot drinks — Nutella Hot Choco, Caramel Hot, and Mochatella — to soothe the nippy weather brought about the rainy season.

Nutella Hot Choco will give its imbiber the traditional cocoa and hazelnut fusion, but with an added chocolatey dab of Nutella, topped with crushed nuts and marshmallows for P170.

For extra sweetness, Caramel Hot will be served foamed with “cream and fluff”, espresso, and a drizzle of thin layer of caramel on top of the caramel syrup for its base, starting at P160.

Mochatella is also coming in hot with hazelnut syrup on a steamed half and half milk, espresso, cocoa powder and Nutella, topped with marshmallows, for P180.

Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) led by Officer-in-Charge Irish Bonus-Llego under the supervision of Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel prepared three drinks with varying sweetness levels to cater to the customers’ different tastes.

“Our new seasonal drinks were created to deliver warmth and joy to every café-goer with different tastes during this cold and gloomy climate,” Bonus-Llego remarked.

Kapebaluan will offer the said drinks during the months of July and August 2023.

Kapebaluan is a project of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. established to support the local coffee farmers of Angeles.

“I believe that our very own Kape Angeleño can keep up with international brands, and I encourage our community to show their support for our local coffee,” Lazatin said.

Kapebaluan is located at the ground floor of the Angeles City Library Building, Barangay Sto. Rosario and is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Mondays to Saturdays.
