ILLEGAL MANUFACTURER OF FIRECRACKERS ARRESTED

Camp Gen Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — A person suspected of illegally producing fireworks and pyrotechnics in a residential area at Sitio Bihunan, Brgy. Biñang 1st, Bocaue, around 3:30 in the afternoon on December 30, 2023, was arrested.

In reports submitted to PCOL RELLY B ARNEDO, PD Bulacan PPO, the operation by the Bocaue MPS resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old male suspect and a resident of the abovementioned address who was caught in the act of manufacturing fireworks and pyrotechnics and failed to present a license, permit, and other pertinent documents to the proper authorities.

Seized from the suspect’s possession were one (1) pack or ninety (90) pieces of unfinished Atomic Bomb, one (1) tray or thirty (30) pieces of Crying Cow, one (1) sack or one hundred fifty (150) pieces of Plapla, and other firecracker materials with an estimated market value of seven thousand five hundred pesos (Php 7,500.00).

A criminal complaint for violation of R.A. 7183 has been prepared against the arrested suspect.

Illegal firecracker production in residential zones poses severe risks to community safety, often leading to accidents, injuries, and property damage.
