Guiguinto’s “Halamanan Festival” bags Indakan Sa Kalye tilt

For the second time, the ‘Halamanan Festival’ of Guiguinto town once again took home the championship during the awarding ceremony of Indakan Sa Kalye as one of the highlights of Singkaban Festival held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos City on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Prior the program, the participants revitalized the streets of Malolos Cathedral going to the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium with their lively performance and colorful costumes and props showcasing various festivities in the province.

Winning against seven other groups, Guiguinto town took home P120,000 for being the champion and another cash prize worth P20,000 for being awarded the ‘Best in Costume’ along with trophies, certificates and gift packs from the sponsors while the City of San Jose Del Monte’s ‘Tanglawan Festival’ landed on second place with P80,000 cash prize , trophy, certificate and gift packs and on third place was ‘San Rafael Angels’ from San Rafael town with P50,000 cash prize and additional P20,000 for being awarded the ‘Best in Street Dance’ with trophies, certificates and gift packs.

The runners-up were also given cash prizes worth P20,000, trophies and certificates including the Libad Festival of Calumpit; Sto. Niño De Malolos of City of Malolos; Suguran Festival of City of Meycauayan; Kneeling Carabao of Pulilan and Palaisdaan Festival of Hagonoy.

Furthermore, Santa Maria’s float ‘Debosyon at Kultura’ won first place at the Parada ng Karosa and took home P100,000 and a trophy; ‘Pandi, Bayan Ng Kasaysayan (Kakarong De Sili) on second place with P60,000 cash prize and a trophy and Hagonoy town’s ‘Pagoda ni Apo Ana’ on third place with P40,000 and a trophy.

Hagonoy town was also awarded first place for Singkaban ng Bayan: Arc Making Competition and won P80,000 and a trophy while John Errol P. Pascual from Calumpit town won first place at the Bulacan Festival Costume Expo.

Meanwhile, Governor Daniel Fernando expressed his gratitude to the Bulakenyos who participated in the Singkaban festivities and hoped that no other crisis will hinder the future celebrations in the province.

“Nagpapasalamat po kami at alam ko po na kulang pa ang pasasalamat sa inyong ginawang partisipasyon sa ating Singkaban. Sunud-sunod na po iyan at idalangin natin na sa mga susunod pang panahon ay wala nang mga pandemya o krisis na dumating para tuluy-tuloy ang programa ng ating mga bayan-bayan sa kanilang festivities,” the governor said.
