FORMER NPA REBEL SURRENDER IN BULACAN

CAMP General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A former member of New People’s Army (NPA) voluntarily surrendered to Bulacan PNP in Brgy. Guinhawa, City of Malolos Bulacan on December 17, 2022.

Provincial Director Col Relly Arnedo of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BUL PPO) identified the surrenderee as alias Ka Dan, 63 years old, tricycle driver and claims to be a former member of New People’s Army and later joined the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan.

PLtCol Ismael Gauna, Force Commander, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), said that on December 17, 2022 at about 9:50 AM, joint elements of, Bulacan PIU, 301st MC RMFB, 24th SAC, 2SAB PNP SAF, Bulacan PECU, 70IB PA and Bulacan 2nd PMFC, facilitated the surrender of Alias Ka Dan and turned over one (1) cal 38. Revolver with six (6) pcs live ammunition and one (1) MK2 hand grenade.

The surrendered former NPA member is presently under the custody of 1st PMFC for investigation and custodial debriefing.

Bulacan Police is stern on its intensified campaign against insurgency and terrorism to ensure the provision of social services, employment opportunities and improved quality of life in communities that have been experiencing or are vulnerable to armed communist conflict.
