FIREARM SEIZED, FELONS AND DRUG DEALERS ARRESTED IN BULACAN

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan — Intensified police operations in Bulacan led to the discovery of illegal firearm, ammunition, and suspected illegal drugs, while wanted felons and drug suspects were apprehended by Bulacan PNP on October 18, 2023 and early today.

In reports submitted to PCol Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP, a joint operation led by Meycauayan City PS, together with the 1st Bulacan PMFC, and the Bulacan SWAT Team implemented a search warrant in Northville 3, Barangay Bayugo, Meycauayan City. The operation was carried out in accordance with a warrant issued by RTC Branch 80, City of Malolos, for a 40-year-old suspect who is allegedly in possession of an illegal firearm (currently at-large). During the operation, authorities confiscated a .45 caliber pistol along with two (2) magazines and six (6) live rounds of ammunition. Furthermore, two (2) sachets containing suspected shabu were seized.

The search and inventory of the confiscated items were conducted in the presence of the respondent’s immediate family and witnesses, including barangay officials and a DOJ representative. Currently, the seized items have been sent to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for forensic examination, and appropriate complaints are being processed for filing in court.

Meanwhile, twelve (12) persons wanted for various crimes and violations were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest in different pursuit operations conducted by the tracker teams of Marilao, Meycauayan City, Sta. Maria, Norzagaray, Malolos City, San Miguel, Bulakan and San Ildefonso. All accused are now under the custody of the arresting unit/stations for proper disposition.

Furthermore, anti-drug busts conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEUs) of Marilao and San Ildefonso PS resulted in the arrest of six (6) drug peddlers. Confiscated were a total of sixteen (16) sachets of suspected shabu valued at about thirty thousand six hundred pesos (Php 30,600 – Standard Drug Price, SDP), drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects have been prepared for filing in court.
