DPWH completes Basa Air Base road project

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) inspected the completed 3,359.80-lineal meter road improvement project inside Basa Air Base in Floridablanca, Pampanga. 

The infrastructure was implemented by DPWH Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office. 

“We know the importance of having safer and better roads that can greatly improve accessibility and mobility within the air base, and with the completion of this project, the transportation of military equipment and supplies in and out of the air base will be much easier,” District Engineer Gregorio Audea Jr. said. 

For his part, Assistant District Engineer Cecil Lawrence Cruz stated that ensuring good collaboration of government agencies develops a sense of unity that puts us on the right track towards becoming a more progressive and developed country. 

“Our military has made a significant contribution in shaping the course of nation-building and we are proud to be a part of their efforts by continuing to support the modernization of our armed forces through our projects,” Cruz explained. 

P39.19 million was earmarked for the construction of the road network inside the military facility which consisted of eight different sections.
