In a testament to their dedication and exemplary financial stewardship, the Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Region III received recognition during the Regional Staff Meeting on September 11, 2023.
The awards received by Bulacan 1st DEO highlighted their outstanding financial management performance, ranking first in the region with a Prior Years Disbursement Rate of 96.51% and securing the third position in achieving a Target Absorptive Capacity of 95.13% as of August 31, 2023, among the 16 DEOs in the region.
Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo, Regional Director Roseller Tolentino, and Assistant Regional Director Melquiades Sto. Domingo presented the certificates of recognition to District Engineer Henry Alcantara and Assistant District Engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez.
In his message, Tolentino stated that these accolades not only acknowledge Bulacan 1st DEO’s commitment to sound financial management but also underscore their dedication to delivering quality service and ensuring the efficient use of resources for vital infrastructure projects.
He added that this recognition serves as a source of pride and motivation for Bulacan 1st DEO, reaffirming its position as a top-performing institution within DPWH – Region III and reflecting its unwavering commitment to achieving excellence in all aspects of operations.
