BATAAN POLICE SEIZE OVER P2.3M WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga –Authorities in Bataan apprehended two individuals involved in illegal drug trade and confiscated over P2.3 million worth of suspected Shabu, Monday night (March 18).
 
 The covert operation took place at around 10 PM in Brgy. Mt. View, where an undercover officer engaged in a transaction with the suspects, resulting in their apprehension.
 
Subsequently, law enforcement personnel discovered four sizable plastic sachets believed to contain Shabu weighing an estimated 350 grams, along with a loaded caliber .45 revolver, during a thorough search for protective purposes.
 
 The apprehended suspects are presently in custody at Mariveles MPS and will be prosecuted for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Article 2 of RA 9165 and RA 10591.
 
 PBGen Jose Hidalgo Jr., Director of PRO3, lauded the diligence of the enforcement team and underscored the necessity of conducting anti-illegal drug operations with utmost caution, given the inherent risks to the safety of law enforcement personnel.
