Army’s 84IB, Nueva Ecija Doctors Hospital Ink Partnership Agreement

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – The 84th Infantry (Victorious) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army solidified and strengthened its partnership with the Nueva Ecija Doctors Hospital Blood Bank by signing a Partnership Agreement during the 2nd 7ID-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity on June 12, 2022.

The partnership agreement intends to establish a strong partnership of both parties to ensure enough safe blood in our provincial blood bank for those who are in need.

Dr Jhon Peter V Dacanay Ph.D., NE Doctors Hospital Blood Bank Section Head, is thankful for the partnership with 84IB in fulfilling the vision of the Department of Health in collaboration with the national voluntary blood services program.

“Thank you 84 IB for this memorandum of partnership. Our heartfelt gratitude to your unit for providing and maintaining a 100% voluntary blood donation and continuing your legacy by promoting awareness, advocacy, and educating the community and instill everyone on public consciousness on the principle that blood is a humanitarian act”. Dr Dacanay said.

The 2nd 7ID-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity is spearheaded by the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army in partnership with Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay Incorporated (DADBI), Media Entities, Partner Hospitals and other Stakeholders in its Area of Responsibility.  Also during the activity, a total of 16,500 CC of blood were collected from all the qualified donors

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Enrico Gil C Ileto, Commanding Officer of 84IB is thankful to Nueva Ecija Doctors Hospital for the partnership and looking forward to a strong collaborative effort in serving the Novo Ecijanos by providing free blood to those in need.

MGen Andrew Costelo, commander of 7th Infantry (Kauganay) Division applauded the partnership of the 84th IB and the Nueva Ecija Doctors Hospital. “As we achieve our goal to end insurgency in our country let us not forget the essence of humility, let us help others in ways we can, this partnership is a big step to strengthen the connection between the Army and its Stakeholders.”  Costelo said.
