The activity was part of the joint efforts of the ZPPO and 3Mech Bn to end the local communist armed conflict in the Province of Zambales through a ‘whole-of-government’ approach to deliver the basic services in the far-flung communities especially to the IPs who were most vulnerable in CTG exploitation and recruitment.

On his part, Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Henry Z Cabusao, the Commanding Officer of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, thanked the ZPPO led by Police Colonel Fitz A. Macariola, the Acting Provincial Director, for their zealous efforts to protect the community from the evils of the terrorist organization.

Meanwhile, the Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army Brigadier General Andrew D Costelo PA lauded the efforts of the Army troops and the PNP in working together to give early Christmas gifts to the IPs.

“Natutuwa ang inyong kasundaluhan sa inyong natanggap na regalo ngayong kapaskuhan. Nawa’y maging masaya at maging makabuluhan ang inyong pagdiriwang sa kapanganakan ni Hesus,” said BGen Costelo.
