AFP, ASEAN experts conduct health survey in N. Ecija

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija–Members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and ASEAN Defense Minister’s Meeting (ADMM) Experts Working Group conducted a Multilateral Site Survey of Health and Medical Facilities in Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija last November 24-25, 2022.

 

The AFP contingent and the ASEAN ADMM experts are part of a Project-Based Medical Deployment/Medical Aid Provision Team that intends to implement medical and health care projects in close coordination with Local Government Units (LGU).

 

The 2-day survey covered the barangays of Rio Chico, Nazareth, Pias, and Palale which will compose the set of beneficiary communities.

 

According to Brigadier Isaac SeidL AM, Co-Chairman, ADMM-Plus Experts’ Working Group from Australia, the team is conducting research on health issues and other medical concerns of the community as preparation for their project implementation in the second half of 2023.

 

Gen. Tinio Municipal Mayor Isidro Pajarillaga expressed his gratitude to the team for choosing his constituents as beneficiaries of the project and that it will help the beneficiary communities a lot.

 

Meanwhile, Major Judy Valera, Battalion Executive-Officer, 84th Infantry Battalion, 7th Infantry Division (7ID), Philippine Army ensured that the unit will continue to fulfill its mandate, not only in providing and sustaining peace and security in Gen. Tinio, but also in working with LGUs and stakeholders to promote development.

 

On the other hand, Maj. Gen. Andrew D. Costelo, 7ID Commander, affirmed the commitment of the unit in uplifting the welfare of the people in its area of responsibility through collaborating with concerned agencies.
