CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A total of P985,192 in sales was generated in the Women’s Month trade fairs of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Central Luzon.
About 98 female micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) participated in these trade fairs held in the provinces of Bataan, Nueva Ecija and Pampanga.
DTI Regional Director Leonila Baluyut disclosed that up to P488,099 potential sales are also expected to result from ongoing negotiations.
“DTI heeds the call to celebrate the gains in what has been achieved in gender equality and women empowerment guided by the theme ‘WE Make CHANGE Work for Women,” Baluyut said.
38 MSMEs participated in Likha ng Bataeños Trade Fair at Vista Mall Bataan while 35 MSMEs attended the trade fair in NE Pacific Mall.
“Pampanga held two separate trade fairs wherein nine MSME exhibitors joined the Women on Wonder Bazaar at Jenra Grand Mall, and 16 MSMEs exhibited at the Vista Mall in City of San Fernando for the Fernanpreneur Trade Fair Caravan,” she said.
The 2022 National Women’s Month Celebration endeavors to highlight the achievement of women and girls, to assess actions towards gender equality, and to ensure progress in empowering women.
