CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS, Malolos City, Bulacan —- A man allegedly suspected of robbery-holdup was killed after exchanging gunfire with police operatives during a hot pursuit operation in Purok 5, Brgy. Santisima, City of Malolos, Bulacan, at around 11:00 p.m. on August 25, 2026.
Based on the report of, PLtCol Lynelle Solomon, Chief of Bulakan MPS, the deceased suspect is of legal age, unemployed, and a resident of Brgy. Santisima, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
He is said to be a suspect in a robbery-holdup that occurred in Brgy. Pitpitan, Bulakan, Bulacan that day.
Based on the report, personnel of the Bulakan Municipal Police Station, as the lead unit, conducted a joint hot pursuit operation in collaboration with the Regional Intelligence Division and Management Division 3 (RIDMD3), RID3-RSOG, Bulacan Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit (PIDMU), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Bulacan, Highway Patrol Team (HPT) Bulacan, Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Malolos City Police Station, Plaridel MPS, and Guiguinto MPS.
Through thorough backtracking of CCTV footage, operatives successfully determined the identity and whereabouts of the suspect.
The operatives immediately went there but instead of surrendering, the suspect exchanged gunfire with the authorities, resulting in the suspect’s death.
Recovered from the suspect was one (1) cal. 38 revolver and assorted ammunition.
Meanwhile, the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, led by PCOL Jay Baybayan, Acting Provincial Director, assured that the incident will be subjected to a thorough investigation to ensure a complete and fair discussion of the events.
The police will continue to intensify operations against criminals and will immediately respond to incidents that threaten the safety and security of citizens.
The Bulacan PPO, meanwhile, called on the public to continue to cooperate with authorities and immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
