P349M counterfeit footware seized in Pampanga raid

The CIDG Pampanga Provincial Field Unit together with representatives from CROCS Inc., and  territorial police units implemented two Search Warrants for violation of Section 155 (Infringement) in relation to Section 170 (Penalties) of the Republic Act No. 8293 (Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines) in two warehouses in Golden Haojia, Industrial Compound, Brgy. Balucuc, Apalit, Pampanga on February 26, 2026.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of assorted alleged trademark infringing footwear, and production equipment and paraphernalia with a total amount of PhP 349,595,000.00.
 
A report that reached PMGEN Robert AA Morico II, the Director of CIDG, stated that the subject of the two Search Warrants who is connected with the two warehouses was not in the area during the implementation of the warrant, but the operations were  duly witnessed by Barangay officials.
 
At around 10:00 AM, the Team confiscated from warehouse 1 – 181 boxes of alleged trademark infringing- CROCS footwear, 30 sacks containing resin raw materials, 4 units of heavy machineries, and assorted paraphernalia and equipment with an estimated market value of PhP 216,305,000.00.
 
On the same day at around 2:50 PM, the Team seized from warehouse 2-  1,481 boxes of alleged trademark infringing- CROCS footwear, with an estimated market value of PhP 133,290,000.00.
 
The total amount of confiscated evidence in the two separate operations is PhP 349,595,000.00. 
 
The Director of CIDG emphasized that it is the policy of the State to protect and secure the exclusive rights of scientists, inventors, artists and other gifted citizens to their intellectual property and creations, particularly when beneficial to the people.
 
The CIDG’s intensified operations nationwide is in compliance with the focused program thrust of the Chief of the Philippine National Police, PGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR.
 
The CIDG leadership lauds PCOL Grant A Gollod, the Regional Chief of CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 and the CIDG Pampanga Field Unit under PLTCOL Marlon M Cudal for the remarkable accomplishment, that underscores the unyielding stance of the CIDG  against all forms of  illegal activities and violations of law.
 
The Unit assures the Filipino people that it is steadfast in enforcing all the laws – without fear or favor- across the country. The CIDG urges the public to report all suspicious and illegal  activities and trading in their localities, and the CIDG will do the rest.
