FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist First Nominee Brian Poe gained insights on the priorities and challenges faced by the Filipino Muslim community in the provinces.
Organizations who joined the discussion included representatives from Rizal Muslim Consultative Council (MCC), Cainta Muslim Affairs Office, Muslim Communities of the Municipality of Rodriguez, Rizal, Salaam Police Advocacy Group (SPAG) and United Cavite Muslim Communities, among others.
Among the concerns raised by the community leaders included inadequate burial facilities for Muslims residing in Luzon, access to legal and medical assistance, cultural support to Madrasah teachers, equal distribution of government programs such as Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) and Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD).
The group also stressed the need to strengthen the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos  to enable it to fulfill its mandate, and establishment of consultative councils in areas with significant Muslim populations. “If we want our nation and economy to thrive, no Filipino should be left behind, regardless of their status or religion. We must uplift the lives of every Filipino and provide equal opportunities for all,” Poe said.
FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist First Nominee further shared that this is why FPJ Panday Bayanihan has spent over a decade helping Filipino families through various programs and initiatives centered on food, progress and justice for all.
Poe added that he will continue to advocate for the Filipino Muslims as they deserve the same support and attention as every other citizen in the country.
