Around 5,890 job seekers in Bulacan had their chance to land their dream careers as a 3-day Mega Job Fair was held at The Greenery Resort on February 15-17, 2024.
The Job Fairs with a theme “FEB-Love for Bulakenyo, Work and Tourism” was organized by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Public Employment Service (PPESO), Damayang Filipino Movement, and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region III.
A combined total of 42 companies participated in the job fairs including 7 overseas agencies and 35 local companies, offering various international vacancies and career opportunities in Bulacan and nearby provinces for qualified applicants, newly graduates and unemployed.
Among the international agencies who joined the job fair were Pisces International Placement Corp., Staffhouse International Resources, Rensol Recruitment, FMW Human Resources International Corporation, BISON Management Corporation, ERRX Recuitment Consulting, Jobsite General Services Inc., RM Foods Incorporated, Automan Service and Parts Eyequest International Manpower Service Inc., Alfamart and others.
In his message Gov. Daniel R. Fernando said this ensures that many unemployed and newly graduated Bulakenyos will have their jobs due to the job offered by the participating companies that are willing to provide jobs.
Geraldine M. Panlilio, Regional Director, DOLE Region III hailed the Provincial Government of Bulacan under the leadership of Fernando for its initiative to hold job fairs regularly for Bulakenyos without permanent jobs.
There is also a One-Stop-Shop Processing, offering services from different government agencies such as Pag-Ibig, SSS, PhilHealth, and PSA, was also available during the respective job fairs.
According to Athenie R. Bautista, officer in charge of Damayang Filipino Inc., the said 3-day Job Fairs at Greenery Resort Baliwag is in support of the province of Bulacan to the government to provide jobs to Filipinos in reducing the number of Pinoy jobless.
Former Baliwag Mayor Rolando Salvador, owner of The Greenery Resort, said he is ready to support similar programs in letting his facility be used for free.
It was learned that there is also a medical mission to be held in the next few months at the Greenery Resort Baliwag which will be organized also by the provincial government.
