FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – The 7th Infantry Kaugnay Division (7ID), Philippine Army (PA) has launched its own charitable institution, the ‘Kaugnay Foundation Incorporated’ (KFI) in Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija last December 8, 2022.
The KFI is a non-stock corporation duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission for charitable and educational purposes.
Said institution was founded to extend grants or endowments to active and retired Kaugnay personnel, their dependents, civilian human resource and other individuals in the community needing humanitarian assistance.
General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr (Retired) Officer-in-Charge of the Bureau of Corrections, graced the event and served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Catapang who is a former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and former Commander of Kaugnay Division, officiated the Oathtaking of the members of the KFI Board of Directors.
Maj. Gen. Andrew D. Costelo, Commander of 7ID and KFI President, thanked Kaugnay troops for their full support on such another significant milestone of the unit.
Maj. Gen. Costelo also commended and recognized the efforts, dedication, and commitment of former 7ID Commanders who contributed to the accomplishments of the Kaugnay Division through the years.
Lt. Gen. Romeo Tolentino, and Lt. Gen. Glorioso Miranda were among the former 7ID Commanders who attended the event and vowed their unwavering support to the foundation.
