26 Home for Girls wards undergo salon make-over

ANGELES CITY—Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. remains true to prioritizing the welfare of Home for Girls wards as the 26 of them acquired free haircut from Instaglam by Eric Cortez hair salon on August 15, 2023.
This is in line with Mayor Lazatin’s initiative to maintain proper health and hygiene to the wards staying under the care of the city-run center.
“It will be always the priority of our administration to look out for the needs of the wards, especially that they experienced oppression and abuse,” Mayor Lazatin said.
The make-over services were made possible by the city government’s partnership with Instaglam by Eric Cortez located at Barangay Pandan.
Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel supervised the social service project with Angeles City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO) led by Edna Duaso.
Duaso for her part thanked Mayor Lazatin for his initiative to look out for the needs of the children as this will further protect the future and development of Angeles City.
The Home for the Girls is a temporary residential facility which provides family care to female children who are victims of abuse and exploitation.
To recall, Mayor Lazatin, since taking office in 2019, has been prioritizing the welfare of children in Angeles City by reinforcing the city’s facilities and rehabilitation programs for the oppressed minors.
