SENATE Majority Leader Joel Villanueva was awarded Outstanding Senator at the 7th MCLE-Accredited National Convention of Public Attorneys conducted by the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) led by PAO Chief Persida Acosta on Wednesday, October 12 at the PICC Plenary Hall in Pasay City. In his speech, Villanueva thanked the public attorneys for their service and sought to remedy the situation of one PAO lawyer handling 5,300 clients per year on average. Villanueva was cited for his exemplary public service as a lawmaker at the event attended by around 2,500 Public Attorneys from all over the country.
