INILUNSAD ng tanggapan ng Office of the Bulacan Vice Governor ang Breast Cancer Awareness Advocacy Campaign katuwang ang Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc., SM City Marilao, SM Cares, at Kasuso Foundation na isinagawa sa SM City Marilao nitong Martes, October 11, 2022.
Ang nasabing event ay inorganisa ni Vice Gov. Alex Castro na naglalayon na turuan at itaguyod ang kamalayan ng mga mother leaders, health workers, at women volunteers mula sa bayan ng Obando, Marilao, at Meycauayan City upang pataasin ang kaalaman sa breast cancer.
“Prevention is not our goal in this seminar. Rather it is early detection that saves lives,” ayon kay resource person Aileen Ilagan of the Kasuso Foundation.
Sa kaniyang mensahe, sinabi ni VGov. Castro: “My advocacy to supporting women and promoting awareness to breast cancers goes a long way back to my days as councilor of Marilao, and that’s 20 years ago. That’s why I am very happy that as Vice Governor I now have a new platform in spreading this cause in the province of Bulacan.”
Aniya, ang Provincial Government of Bulacan sa pamumuno ni Governor Daniel Fernando ay nakasuporta sa mga programang women empowerment at palaging tumutulong para sa kanilang kagalingan.
Nagbigay din si Castro ng pahayag ng pag-asa at kinilala ang mga volunteers partikular na ang mga survivors sa kanilang partisipasyon para turuan kung paano harapin at labanan ang sakit na cancer.
Ang kampanya ay dinaluhan ng nasa 200 participants mula sa Marilao, Obando, at
Meycauayan upang i-celebrate kasama ang mga breast cancer survivors at sa gayon ay mapalakas ang moral ng mga kasalukuyang may mga sakit.
Sinabi ni Gladiz May Latiza, SM City Marilao Pubic Relation Officer Na nagsagawa rin sa nasabing event ng mga libreng mammogram tests Sa mga participants at sa mga walk-in shoppers.
Kasama rin nagdiwang sa event at todo naka-suporta ay ang may0bahay ni VGov. Castro na si former Sex Bomb performer Sunshine Garcia.
“Take advantage of free seminars like this that help you assess your female health wellness. I am happy that my husband supports causes like Breast Cancer Awareness,” wika ni Garcia-Castro.
Matapos ang isinagawang lecture ay sinimulan na ang breast screening sa 200 Kababaihan sa enclosed tents.
