CAMP General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — An unidentified armed store thief was neutralized during an armed encounter in Brgy. Niugan, Malolos City, Bulacan on July 3, 2022 at about 4:30 am.
Acting Provincial Director Col Charlie Cabradilla of Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) said that the Malolos CPS promptly responded upon receipt of a report on a convenience store being robbed in Brgy. Sumapang Matanda, Malolos City earlier.
Wherein they carted away three (3) cellular phones and cash money amounting at about Php 200,000.00 and escaped on board a motorcycle leaving the victims and witness unharmed.
During the pursuit operation, two unidentified individuals on board a motorcycle, fitting the suspects’ description evaded the checkpoint established along Brgy. Niugan, Malolos City, which resulted in a chase down. As they were cornered, one of the suspects’ engaged in a gunfight with the responding police officers that led to his death, while his cohort managed to escape.
Recovered were one (1) caliber .38 revolver loaded with four (4) live ammunition and one (1) fired case cartridge for caliber .38, three (3) fired case cartridge for caliber .9mm, blue backpack with cash amounting to Php 177,840.00 pesos, and BDO Cash Transaction Slip with Account name: Alfametro Marketing Inc.
