SMC nagkaloob ng P10M at pangkabuhayan sa pamilya ng Bulacan fallen heroes

Nakipagkita si San Miguel Corporation (SMC) President and Chief Executive Officer Ramon S. Ang (4th from right) sa mga naulilang pamilya ng limang Bulacan fallen heroes kung saan pinagkalooban ang mga ito ng livelihood support at tsekeng nagkakahalaga ng P2-million each. NAGBIGAY pugay si San Miguel Corporation (SMC) President and Chief Executive Officer Ramon S. Ang sa limang Bulakenyo rescue heroes na nasawi sa pagtupad sa kanilang tungkulin sa kasagsagan ng Super Typhoon Karding sa Bulacan kasabay ng pagkakaloob sa mga ito ng financial at livelihood support nitong Lunes.
 
Emosyonal ang naging paghaharap ng pamilya kay Ang kung saan sinabi nito na siya ay kabilang sa milyon-milyong Filipino na nagbibigay pugay at nagdadalamhati sa sinapit ng limang bayaning Bulacan rescuers na sina Troy Agustin, George Agustin, Marby Bartolome, Jerson Resurreccion, and Narciso Calayag Jr., pawang mga miyembro ng Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) na nasawi habang tumutupad sa kanilang tungkulin sa isang rescue operation sa bayan ng San Miguel noong Setyembre 25, 2022.

“We are forever be grateful for their bravery and sacrifice and dedication to duty.Despite the dangers, they fulfilled their duty to help and save others. They are heroes. We cannot bring them back, but we can help fulfill their dreams for their families, and that is to help provide their loved ones a better life,” wika ni Ang.
 
Bukod sa tig-P2 million ipinagkaloob ni Ang sa bawat pamilya ay tumanggap din ng panimulang pangkabuhayan package ang mga ito matapos samahan nila Governor Daniel Fernando and Bulacan 4th District Rep. Lorna Silverio na ginanap sa SMC headquarters.  
 
“I join fellow Filipinos in thanking our brave rescuers for their heroism. My hope is that their families will get to see how much we all appreciate them. They inspire us to do selfless deeds in our everyday lives. Their ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty will not be forgotten” ayon kay RSA.  

 

“Sobrang pasasalamat po. Hindi po namin ine-expect po ito at sobra-sobra po itong natanggap namin mula kay RSA. Bata pa po ang mga anak namin kaya mahaba-haba pa po ang tatakbuhin,” wika ni Jessa Agustin, asawa ni Troy.  

 

Nagpasalamat din si Minhah Bartolome, naulilang asawa ni Marby: “Malaking pasalamat po para sa tulong na ilalaan ko para sa aming mga anak. Hindi naman po naming inaasahan ito na bibigyan po kami ni Mr. Ang kaya’t napakalaking pasasalamat po sa kanya.”  

 

“Wala po kaming masabi kundi thank you. Nakakagulat po yung tulong na ibinigay sa amin ni Mr. Ang. Napakabukas palad nya na tao, wala po kaming masabi. Sa kanya po parang maliit na halaga lang ito pero para sa amin ay napakalaking tulong po ito,” ani Michelle Resurreccion, ang may-bahay ni Jerson.  

 

Ang bawat pamilya ng limang rescuers ay makatatanggap ng freezer at  initial inventory ng assorted Purefoods refrigerated meat at iba pang mga branded products. 
 
“No amount of money can pay for the sacrifices made by our five heroes, but I am hopeful that the assistance would help ease the burden of their families during this difficult time and allow them to start over again,” ani Ang.  

 

“While they can immediately use the financial assistance for their family’s needs, our long term goal is to help them thrive through our community reselling program. Our business teams are ready to help them every step of the way to ensure that their ventures are successful and can sustainably provide for them,” dagdag pa nito.
